Cost: $15 RICHARD BELZER AND THE BELZONICS - Saturday, Oct. 3 @ 9:30 pm -- upstairs TICKET PRICE: $45The veteran standup comic, actor, talk-show host and author Richard Belzer and his band th e Belzonics bring music, comedy and the unpredictable to the Green Room stage as part of the New York Underground Comedy Festival. Belzer began his career in show business with a starring role in Groove Tube, the counterculture film that went on to become a cult classic. Richard has been featured in every entertainment medium from off-Broadway (The National Lampoon Show) to radio (Brink and Belzer WNBC) to film (Fame, Man on the Moon, and Scarface). Additionally, Belzer starred in his own HBO comedy special, Another Lone Nut, and the Showtime series The Richard Belzer Show. Most recently, Belzer has appeared in NBC's Law and order Special Victims Unit and acts as a talent scout for Last Comic Standing. NO ONE UNDER 18 ADMITTED. New York Comedy ClubSUPEREGO COMEDY SHOWCASE – Thursday, October 8th @ 9PMSuperEgo Comedy, in conjunction with The New York Underground Comedy Festival and Gilda's Club, is proud to present the SuperEgo Charity Stand-up Showcase to Benefit Gilda's Club. The show will take place on Thursday, October 8th at 9:00 PM at New York Comedy Club. The show is hosted by Michelle Dobrawsky (Broadway Comedy Club, Boston Improv Festival) and will feature well-known comics as well as rising young comedy talent. All proceeds to benefit Gilda's Club, a wonderful organization inspired by the late comedian Gilda Radner providing services free of charge to people living with cancer and their families.
